The data obtained from these Bluetooth devices may include, but is not limited to, the following measurements, depending on the device type:
  • Surge/Strike Counts
  • Protection Level
  • Voltage
  • Current
  • Temperature
  • Power Quality

  1. Location Data:
    • To determine the precise geographic location of our proprietary Bluetooth devices.
    • To enhance the functionality and user experience of the App, specifically in relation to our devices.
    • To analyse trends and user behaviour related to device location.
  2. Bluetooth Device Data:
    • To collect and display measurements from our proprietary Bluetooth devices, such as surge/strike counts, protection level, voltage, current, temperature, and power quality.
    • To enable the App to interact with and control our proprietary Bluetooth devices effectively.
    • To enhance the user experience, including data visualization and analysis, related to our devices.

These data collection and usage practices are solely focused on our proprietary Bluetooth devices and their optimal functioning.

3. Data Storage and Security

We store the collected data in an Azure SQL database, which is a secure and trusted cloud-based platform. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The data collected through AppCenter may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Device information (e.g., device type, model, operating system version).
  • App version.
  • Crash reports, stack traces, and error logs.
  • Usage patterns, including the frequency of app launches and the actions performed within the App.

We use this information to:

  • Improve the stability and performance of the App.

  • Enhance the user experience.

The data collected through AppCenter is anonymous and does not contain personally identifiable information, except for device-related data. It is used solely for technical and analytical purposes.

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of crash and analysis data as described in this section.

9. User Account Creation and Authentication

  1. User Account Creation: In order to use certain features and services within the App, users are required to create an account. Account creation typically involves providing a valid email address and creating a password. However, we also offer the option to create an account using external identity providers, specifically Apple ID and Google Account.
  2. Authentication with Apple ID and Google Account: When using Apple ID or Google Account authentication, your identity information is securely verified by Apple or Google, and we receive a unique identifier to associate with your account. This process simplifies registration and login for our users while ensuring the protection of your personal information.
  3. Data Sharing with Azure AD B2C: To facilitate user account management and access to the App, we use Azure Active Directory B2C (Azure AD B2C), a secure identity and access management service. When you create an account or log in using your Apple ID or Google Account, we share your unique identifier with Azure AD B2C. This allows us to authenticate your identity and manage your user account securely.
  4. Data Security with Azure AD B2C: Azure AD B2C employs robust security measures to protect your identity information. Your personal data remains encrypted and is securely transmitted between your device and Azure AD B2C.
  5. Access to Account Information:
  • User Profile: The App provides access to view your currently logged-in user profile, including your display name and account settings.
  • Logout: You have the ability to log out from your account within the App. This will require you to reauthenticate the next time you use the App.
  • Account Deletion: If you wish to stop using the App and have your account deleted, you can make a request for account deletion. Please note that this action is irreversible and will result in the permanent removal of your account data. You would need to create a new account if you want to re-use the App in the future.
